The federal government passed a measure extending minimum wage and overtime protection to the country’s reportedly 1.9 million non-medical caregivers. The new legislation, slated to go into effect January 1st, 2014 in California (and nationally, in 2015), is forcing companies like Select to cut down shifts, and increase wages.
